News

18th July: A lovely assembly, giving out many awards for high achievement, excellent progress, music, sport and parish involvement - celebrating everyone's achievements and our excellent results!

13th July: Our Infant Boys’ Football Team played against Westgate School, securing a 1-1 draw.  Well done to them!  Excellent skills shown.

                   Junior Netball Team: secured a 5-1 win against Westgate.  Great playing!

8th July: Warwick University Chemistry Department Visits Year 5/6: Pupils were enthused by Chemistry tutors from Warwick University who delivered a fun and exciting Chemistry lesson.  Many thanks to our fabulous visitors who commented upon the pupils’ knowledge, enthusiasm and engagement!

8th July: Year 1/2 visit Ryton Pools.  Pond dipping and welly walking were the order of the day for a fun-filled programme of events at this super nature reserve

7th July: Music. Congratulations to a Year 6 Pupil on her Merit in her Keyboard Exam!

7th July: Year 3/4 visit Twycross Zoo: A great time was had by all on this trip to Europe’s largest collection of monkeys and apes

4th-6th July: Year 6 visit PGL in Liddington, Wiltshire.  Abseiling, canoeing, zip-wiring, raft-building and more were packed into a fabulous three days team building event.  Year 6 celebrated their brilliant SATS results in style, with Headteacher commenting “The children were a credit to us; there are some fine leaders amongst them!”

2nd July: Annual Aspiration Day: A paramedic, radiographer, board game designer and book shop owner came to school on our annual aspiration day to talk to the pupils about the skills, characteristics and qualities they need to succeed.  Pupils asked a range of searching questions and the visitors commented once again on their excellent behaviour and social skills.

9th June 2016: a picnic fit for a queen: Many happy returns!

27th May: what a great barn dance!  A lovely evening of fun, food and dancing.

26th May: Reception class had great fun at Coombe Country Park

20th May: The Youth Group had a fabulous time at St Chads

9th May: Good luck to Year 6 in SATS week.

11th April: The Infant football team enjoy their first inter school match!  Good luck to them

18th March: The school production of Rolling Away the Stone played to appreciative audiences!  Well done to all the children.

16th March: Congratulations to Year 6 pupils – 3 have secured their grammar school places this year.

10th March: Year 1 and 2 have a great day out at Cadbury World

9th March: Year 3 and 4 enjoy the delights of the Birmingham Art Gallery and Museum

4th March: some wonderful costumes for World Book Day!

3rd March: a lovely atmosphere in the Mother’s Day meal

12th February: The term ends in the best way possible – with cake!

2nd December: Year 1 / 2 did an excellent job making advent wreaths for the whole school this morning.

 

 

26th November: The children have decorated
a tree for the Christmas Tree Festival at
St. Mary's Collegiate Church in Warwick.

 

The Christmas tree exhibition is on from Thursday 26th November until Sunday 6th December.

 

Our tree will be on display for anyone who would like to go along and see it.  You can also vote for it and see if we win!

23rd October: Cake and book sale - what better way to wind down for the half term holiday!  We wish everyone a restful week after a half term of hard work!  Well done to our reception class for completing their first few weeks.

19th October: All pupils will be designing their own Christmas cards this week and orders can be placed after the holiday. These make lovely keep-sakes for family and friends.

19th October: Year 6 heard about their summer field trip today.  Much excitement abounded!

18th October: Well done to our Year 6 pupils who took their 11 plus!  They have done exceedingly well and are thrilled with their results.

12th October: Mr Gargan is reviving Chess Club!  Watch this space!

8th October: Harvest Festival – a heart-warming afternoon which was enjoyed by our pupils and well supported by parents.  A lovely opportunity for everyone to come together around a good cause: supporting Warwick Foodbank. 

Tuesday 8th September 2015: A new year begins and the pupils look so smart in their new uniforms!  A warm welcome to new pupils and parents from nursery to Year 5.

Wednesday 9th September 2015: Good luck to those Year 6 pupils who are working towards this Saturday’s 11+ tests. A nerve-wracking time for all!

Congratulations: to Simon Arnold of FIT4KIDS who arrived to take Tuesday’s after school Multi-Sports session sporting a wedding ring!
