School Meals

School meals are available free to all pupils in the infants (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2). Older pupils may purchase school meals at a cost of £2.25 per day, (£11.25 per week). Pupils may also be eligible for Free School Meals.

There is an excellent choice of meals, which are designed to appeal to children.  The majority of the meals are home made.

Autumn - Winter Menu 2017/2018

Payment for school meals should be made on Monday mornings, (or the first day of school after a holiday) and should include payment for all the meals that week. Envelopes can be obtained from the school office.  Credit cannot be offered for school meals, so the full amount must be paid in advance.

For Information on free school meals, or to apply on-line, please go to: www.warwickshire.gov.uk/freeschoolmeals or call 01926 359189.

Packed Lunches

If parents prefer, pupils may bring a packed lunch. Containers used should be secure and clearly marked with the child’s name. For safety reasons parents are asked not to supply drinks in glass bottles, or in metal cans.

Please note that we have a pupil at the school with a severe nut allergy so do not send any food into school that may contain nuts.

Healthy Eating

The school achieved Healthy Schools status in 2009. The award is based on four themes

• Healthy Eating

• Physical Activity

• Emotional Health and Well-being

• Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education

Free milk is available to all children at morning break. Two thirds of pupils regularly drink milk at school.

Children’s behaviour in the dining room is rewarded every week in a social assembly through the Fine Diners’ award.

All children have the opportunity to take part in at least 2 hours of physical activity each week.

The School has also received the following awards:

Heartbeat Award for providing Healthy Food Choices, May 2009

Hygiene Inspection Gold rating for achieving excellent standards in hygiene, safety, cleanliness and food safety management, January 2009
