Welcome to our Early Years Foundation Stage

A warm welcome to all our present and prospective parents looking at our area.

The Early Years Foundation Stage comprises of Little Angels Pre-School, led by Pre-school supervisor  Mrs Philippa Manton, and the Reception Class, led by teacher Mrs Catherine Dawson. Mrs Maria Grierson is our Teaching assistant and works primarily with Reception age children.

During the mornings the Reception Class and Pre-school children work separately on their own play and focussed learning tasks. In the mornings Reception class have teacher led Literacy, phonics and mathematics sessions.

In the afternoon Pre-school and the Reception Class play and learn together on creative and topic based activities. We work on a common topic across the Foundation stage which changes each half term.

We are fortunate to have several outdoors areas we can all utilise for outdoor play and learning. Outdoor play is a fundamental feature of our learning.

Visits to our Early Years Foundation stage are always welcome.
