Playground Buddies

At St Mary Immaculate we run a “Playground Buddy Scheme”. Children in years 5 & 6 can choose to enrol as a playground buddy to the children in our infant playgrounds.

This scheme encourages our older children to be good role models and begin to take on more responsibility. The caring nature of our children shines through in this role, as they help younger children to play together, help them to make friends, learn new games, and be available as a friend to everyone.

The children wishing to enrol as a buddy, must fill out an application form, including why they want to take on the role, and the qualities that they can bring to the role.
